It is the night before our journey. I am exhausted. I forgot how hard it is to get a family of five ready for a 12 day car journey.
5 suitcases
1 overnight bag
5 toiletry bags
2 cooler - 1 big in the bag of the van and 1 in the front
3 backpacks - filled with car activities
2 snack boxes
Extra drinks
Paper goods (we are staying 4 nights in a beach house)
Beach towels
Sand toys
Medicine (including my shots)
and the electronics...
2 laptops
1 portable DVD player
Nintendo DS
Leapster
Nabi (kids tablet)
2 ipods
Camera
Camcorder
and all of the cords that go with all the devices.
No wonder we don't travel more! The kids are very excited I hope they sleep. Pray for us as we go.
We are headed to Northern Virginia to spend some time with Gary's family and then to Ocean City Maryland for some R & R on the beach. Hoping to make some great memories.
